Durham County Plan Outcome

Thousands of jobs, almost 25,000 new homes and over 300 hectares of land for business and industry development are now a step closer after a government planning inspector published his final report following examination of the County Durham Plan.
Overall, the inspector agrees with the plan, subject to a number of modifications which have recently been the subject of consultation.
The plan with the modifications will go to our Cabinet and ultimately full council for adoption in the coming months.
